The main fighters for civil rights in the south from my family, the last of them died 2 years ago and in a way I'm sort of happy they don't have to see their work went down the drain. Some died with disabling injuries just to register Black people to vote. SMDH 😒
I’m having a hard time wrapping my mind around black folks in the south losing a part of the voting rights we JUST got within my GRANDMOTHER’S lifetime.
