Additional details:.I had the gun case stored in the same bag as my check-in. So no idea if it's able to travel separately with a case so small (two hand-gun case).I stored the gun with the slide locked back while in the holster. Should be easier to tell it's unloaded that way.

Update: I'm still a free man!. Traveling with a firearm is surprisingly easy. Most of you team rock n' lock guys already know that well. Just get a hard case, good lock (not tsa lock), make sure your gun, magazine, and ammo, are separate, and you're golden. Check-in was.
