The Dunning-Kruger effect is wild in the gun community. You’ll see people at the skill level of a NRA basic pistol class telling people at a GM level in competition or legit SF dudes about slowing down to get their hits or keeping their eyes on the threat when reloading.

My favorite part of this escapade was the people telling Chuck that him getting shot wasn’t close enough while simultaneously referencing videos of ham hocks being shot in a back yard and using fifteenth-party information to refute a point he wasn’t making.
People are literally mad at me because I shared stories of being shot in combat. Apparently I either should have died or never talked about it. I don’t really get it, but it’s pretty fascinating.
