This afternoon Year 3 have studied Diwali, the Festival of Lights. We have created our own Diwali information posters and have begun to create our own rangoli patterns. We are so excited for our Diwali workshops next week. @Y3Auckley @WestEndinSchool

Exploring Charcoal… We discussed how we could use all the techniques from our previous lesson and began talking about how we can make light and dark shading.

Yesterday, Year 3 started their computing lesson with an E-safety reminder. The children discussed how to stay safe, how to be respectful and responsible online.

On Thursday the Year 3 children achieved their 10th star in the Jar for 100% attendance! We are so proud of all the children and they were excited to choose a treat from their personalised menu.

The book fairy is back and we now have some new book additions for our Year 3 library. Requested by these two super readers!

In Art today the children sat around the fire inside our ‘classroom cave’ with the lights turned off and fully immersed themselves into drawing like a cave man. Using their legs created the uneven texture and the use of charcoal as the medium created the messiness.
