Very disappointing, unacceptable behavior from a fellow journalist @JuddLegum. (And odd for him to claim that he was first to interview Hermosillo, after @azpublicmedia, Arizona Daily Star and at least one New Mexico outlet already published stories with quotes from Hermosillo.)

@JuddLegum emailed me Sunday—2 days after I broke Jose Hermosillo’s story—asking for help, promising credit. I helped. Today, he claimed he was first to interview Jose (4 days after my story). When I called him to say that’s not ok, he yelled, swore, then finally credited me.

It’s been 500 days since the workers of Science News Media Group unionized. We still do not have a contract. We’re seeing little progress negotiating with the @Society4Science but we’re not giving up. #union #workersrights

An investigation by @TexasTribune identified for the first time where Texas has built its border wall, information the state keeps secret as it pours billions into the highly touted infrastructure project. And so far, it has yielded little return.

Republican education superintendent Tom Horne is back and pushing for the outlier English-only policy. “It’s terrible. It’s the worst thing you could do to kids. It really truly is,” expert says. Created in partnership with @opencampusmedia https://t.co/cEWtHkdmiY

Under Tom Horne, Arizona is the only state teaching under English-only laws. Research shows this doesn't help students.

Arizona is the only state in the country with an English-only education law. Its English-only learners are far less likely to graduate high school. We're proud to partner with @AZLuminaria and @Wzrd_of_Lnlynss on this story:

Arizona is the only state with an English-only policy still in effect. Graduation rates among English learners are far lower than graduation rates in the state overall.
