If I had clung to the dreams of my twenties… no. But when I look beyond those dreams to what purpose lay behind them - yes. My life turned out nothing like I’d expected. Disability, job loss, illness, chronic pain tend to dismantle that… but it’s beautiful. #mentalhealth

Your occasional reminder we had a Commandant who dead-ass said "If it were a question of having a Marine Corps of 5,000 Whites or 250,000 Negroes, I would rather have the Whites," & he was wrong then & every General who tried to deny women their place in the Corps was wrong, too.
Chavez is feminine, not butch and muscular, and she is fallible. However, she fits in well and, aside from the first few pages, her gender is never really brought up again.

There's no rule that says you either write every day, or you're a bad writer. People have other responsibilities besides writing, and sometimes life can be overwhelming. Just write as often as you can, that's all you can do, and don't feel guilty about doing your best.
