Sometimes Mr Wargaming makes mistakes while he's recording playthrough of a new miniatures game. I used to think you had to edit all of the mistakes out!. He runs with it!. We can all learn from these mistakes & become better players.
Lemme just say this: my videos are a record of one man learning the game through play. You can pick up a lot from them, but you should verify it all for yourself. When it comes to learning complex games, there is no substitute for actual play.

I played Atari games in early '80s, but when the new Nintendo controller came out I was too uncoordinated to use it. Just stopped playing video games. I played a few Sierra "Quest" mouse adventures in college, but that was the end of it. They're boring compared to miniatures.
I think a lot of nerds and losers had the horrifying realization that jocks and dudebros had been gamers all along, particularly consoles, this was just the first gen that had reliable net play and popular games.

Since 1991 I've been telling young people not to go to college unless they really really needed to (Dr, lawyer, accounting, veterinary). Or go to community college and study something you're interested in, on the cheap. They always look at me like I'm crazy.
Kids are told their whole lives that if they don't go to college, they won't be able to have a good life. Then, they end up in perpetual debt because of it. It's not just gender studies majors, either. It's STEM, too. We have a broken system.
