We signed an open letter to @DavidLammy calling on Gov to keep its promises. The last time the aid budget was slashed, progs supporting women & girls took 1 of the biggest hits. We stand w/@careintuk in urging Gov to commit 20% of UK aid directly to protect fund #GenderEquality.

Ahead of International Women's Day #IWD on Saturday, we commissioned new polling on the rise of #misogyny, with @OpiniumResearch. And the results make depressing reading. 64% of UK adults think misogyny is a problem, 3 in 10 - a serious one: @Independent

The polling was carried out ahead of International Women’s Day this weekend.

How easy is it to see a dentist where you live?

Since 1918 at every general election more men have been elected than women. @CentenaryAction's graph shows that whilst progress has been made & we now have 263 women MPs we still need 62 more for a #GenderEqualParliament #AskHerToStand

This week, @AlbertoCostaMP corralled cross-Political party support to call on the Sec of State for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs to support the Microplastic Filters (Washing Machines) Bill. It was co-signed by Jeryl Stone, our Chair. Find out more in the link in our bio.

UK Women’s March have organised a series of women’s marches to take place on Saturday 18th January 2025 across the UK. We're encouraging members to join your closest march. We're using our collective voice to challenge the growing, endemic misogyny & discrimination against women

We’ve heard promises to rebuild NHS dentistry. What we need now is action👇 https://t.co/b1MwvQxs2G

The public and this profession have a simple message for the PM. The clock is ticking on NHS dentistry and this Government must make good on its promises. If reform is kicked into the long grass there won’t be a service left to save.

A great way to kick off 2025's media coverage for the WI - a lovely piece in the BBC about our virtual WI groups; supporting the flexibility needs and choices of members who find it tricky to meet in person, and proving a "lifeline" to women: https://t.co/pxcEer49R8

There are 18 online WI groups, allowing women to connect from the comfort of their own home.
