The solution here is not to embrace more memecoins, but instead to allow for more experimentation in L2/L3 revenue generation. Once we can move beyond priority fees that generate MEV, we can truly unlock new models for creators. Until then, speculation will drive rollup revenue.

80 - 90% of L2 revenue comes from MEV, primarily DEX swaps. Of course L2s will promote memecoins that lead to more DEX swaps. Especially low liquidity ones that generate even greater MEV. But it's hard to say that part out loud.

Very interesting vulnerability writeup. This is why you should always, always set any owner in smart contracts in the constructor! Don't leave an owner uninitialized at deployment. It protects against mistakes and you get front-running protection that is essential here too.
We @VennBuild just discovered a critical backdoor on thousands of smart contracts leaving over $10,000,000 at risk for months. Along with the help of security researchers @dedaub @pcaversaccio, the seals team @seal_911 and others, we managed to rescue the majority of funds.

I was going to write an EthCC recap but @jennapilgrim wrote a better one (and hosted my favorite event with @jbrukh/@coinfund_io). Robinhood's announcement singlehandedly brought the space from "Why an appchain?" to "How to appchain?". @syndicateio mainnet soon to answer "how"🌐.
@RobinhoodApp's announcement with @arbitrum brought new fervor to the usefulness of L2s, and reignited an impt discussion on the value add of L2s beyond new money. The arms race continues. Revenue and fee-generating protocols were top of mind, who'd have thought? 🤯.

Started using Claude Code for 6-8 hours every day during EthCC late night hack sessions. Upgraded to Max 20x. Was even planning on having Claude Code agents talk to other agents and coordinate on testing, auditing, and documentation. And then it gets nerfed. It was a good run 🫡.
