A song thrush & a mistle thrush singing above the snowdrops today; a sweet-sad carolling for dear Heather of @littleramstudio. Tears for someone I never met, but felt very much like a friend to so many of us on here; such was her warmth, vibrancy, creativity, humour & humanity x

Hurray! Some good news for bees at last. Our new government has followed the science, and refused the application by sugar beet farmers to use banned neonicotinoid pesticides.

When I started filming in British rivers over a decade ago I looked for three things. Clear water, lots of plants and plenty of fish. It's all be impossible to find in today which sickens me given its happened in such a short period.

My first field note on Encounter… and it’s my frog-worthy new wildlife pond! I can’t wait to see how this progresses (the pond and Encounter). Well done @Encountertheapp Team for getting this far. A massive achievement.

I hoped for a day when a report like this would be written. Thank you! I care passionately about this! Everyone should read this report. @DorsetCouncilUK
On a day when house building is in the news, we publish a new report - LOST NATURE. In it, we asked if housing developers have been delivering their ecological commitments. Answer: NO. Read the report here: https://t.co/lOQucjUkNK 1/8
