US uses 4.07M gWh of electricity per year (2022). Solar panels generate ~1095 gWh/yr/mi2. So need 3716 mi^2 of year round solar for 4.07M gWh of electricity. Call it 4000 mi^2 to accommodate for roads & unuseable land. Roughly 63x63mi (100x100km) of solar can power entire USA!.
