Why is it so mild today❓ It's all because of the southwesterly wind direction we have at the moment This is bringing mild Atlantic air to the UK 🌡️

Wow wow wow! The situation with hurricane 🌀 #Melissa is absolutely breathtaking Still crawling towards landfall over Jamaica later today but has strengthened further to reach one of the strongest Atlantic storms on record Sustained wind of 185mph! Central pressure 892hpa!

Meteorologically speaking Melissa is one of the most perfect, most beautiful examples of tropical dynamics I think I’ve ever seen. You’d struggle to find a more symmetrical eye, especially by Atlantic standards.
