Amazing job by a whole gang of previous AG Bar-Even members @WeTheBarEvenLab who converted E. coli into glyoxylate growth biosensors for enzyme engineering!
Awesome job by @enricoorsi leading this study. It was a truly great collaboration ! Many thanks to him and all co-authors of the study, especially @LabNikel @erblabs @haihe10 @eladnoor !

This nice work is the result of a team effort involving experts of different aspects of the whole workflow: @LennartSchada, Stephan Noach, @PabloINik and @SteffenNLindner. We believe that this can be a useful read to synbio, enzymologists and automation experts! (n/n)

We propose to combine machine learning with automated workflows and efficient selection processes in engineered bacteria to address challenges in enzyme engineering. By following this integrated approach, we aim to engineer enzymes faster and more reliably than before.

Congratulations to @mirbachh on winning the add-on #fellowship of the Joachim Herz Stiftung! Helena plans to use the fellowship to gain additional computational expertise which would help to systematically find bottlenecks in engineered synthetic #CO2 fixation by E. coli.

3 years ago we lost an amazing person and great scientist, but his legacy still lives on in the community he left behind—@WeTheBarEvenLab organized an elegiac yet cheerful homage to Arren as his group moves onto new endeavors. Honored to be part of this extended family🌱
Exactly 3 years after Arren's demise, we held a final AG Bar-Even symposium which coincides with the conclusion of our group. Meaningful 2-days reunion w/ our extended family, coming from different part of the world. We concluded with great farewell party in our true style!
