Important message from Chris here. The long straw supply in East Anglia is under threat. Those of us that own thatch need to start making some noise.
My thoughts on moving forward with the thatching straw situation. #thatching #masterthatchers #ruralcrafts

Plymouth's wonderful 1950s stripped classicism has been given a much-needed clean!.
Good news bulletin: Plymouth city centre's fabulous post-war civic architecture has been given a £2.1 million deep-clean, thanks to grant funding from @HistoricEngland and other match funders. Pictured is Pearl Assurance House (Alec French, 1952). What a difference a good scrub

A dramatic pose, for a dramatic building. Hugely enjoyed showing the @CSCA_Cambridge summer school round Oxford today. Keble the highlight. Brilliant students, open to the gothic and, indeed, modernism, as well as the classical.

A fabulous architect, and a wonderful person. Antoine was bemused by my lack of interest in the British motorcycle industry, but he was a key presence during my time in ABQ and it was a privilege to watch such a prestigious architect talk to and encourage students on equal terms.
Antoine Predock died this past weekend in New Mexico. The architect and professor is remembered for the buildings he designed across the state, including at the University of New Mexico where he was a faculty member.
