The gardens of the Brunel Estate in London were designed by Michael Brown. His design features play areas formed of complex brickwork, including this monumental slide. Very few items of play equipment have been listed, but this one is a rare surviving example from this period.

Wing's Place in Ditchling, East Sussex, was once the property of Anne of Cleves, King Henry VIII's fourth wife. 👑 Formerly part of a priory, Ditchling Garden Manor, as it was then known, was one of many manors granted to Anne in the couple's divorce settlement in 1540.
