Next week I will start working part time for @ScotCoastClean I am incredibly excited/grateful that I will now be in a position to have more time to do something I feel incredibly passionate about, alongside my continuing volunteer role as a @mcsuk sea champion. 🌊🏴♻️🐟.
A huge thank you to the team at @ScotIslandsFed for organising the fantastic 'Working together on Island Marine Litter' event. Such dedicated and proactive group of people, all working towards finding sustainable solutions to help tackle the ever growing issue of marine litter.

Information from @ELCouncil regarding the correct disposal/recycling of disposable vapes.
@Walk_Forth Hi, if the battery can be easily removed it can be recycled at kerbside with other household batteries. The rest of the unit should be placed in green wheeled bin. If the battery cannot be removed it should be taken to a recycling centre & disposed of in small electrical skip.

Hi @ELCouncil 2 weeks ago, I contacted you via your waste facilities email & asked if you had recycling facilities for disposable vapes. I'm still waiting to hear back & I'm wondering if you can tell me the correct place for myself & others to take these to in East Lothian?.
It's all well and good disposable vapes being *technically* recyclable. but that doesn't mean it's easy. Recycling centres are far away, you need a car, and the vaping industry is failing to inform how to recycle these. #BanDisposableVapes ❌💨

Delighted to have been part of this and my first beach clean of the @mcsuk Great British Beach Clean week!.
Ran my first ever #Youth beach clean during #GreatBritishBeachClean today (with the help of fab vol @Walk_Forth). 30 enthusiastic young people from 5 to 25 (+ parents) collected 14kg of litter on Portobello beach. 982 items found, fun had, + frisbee games afterwards!💙 (1/3)

Decided to check out the woodland area next to @HolyRoodRCHigh & unfortunately, once again, there was a depressing amount of rubbish (mostly energy & fizz cans, crisp & sweetie packets) littering the woods. @edinhelp bags have been left by bin as marked in map. Thanks.
