And ▪️DII is going to be a popular landing place for former DI student-athletes, for the same reason… more balance and high level competition. Which makes less room for DII student-athletes to stay in DII.

▪️Many of these S-A’s are finding homes in the NAIA for better balance in life & continued high-level competition. Mental health was the top reason associated with DI & DII student-athletes leaving. Smaller schools that compete at a high level can be ideal destinations. 3/3

▪️Nearly half of the DI transfers from 2022 ended up NOT transferring to a NCAA school. 🤯 ▪️500+ DI MBB players in the portal never found another NCAA opportunity. There are simply more student-athletes in the portal than opportunities. 2/
