To all small guards. When you score, people will say you can’t lead a team. When you lead a team, people will question if you can score. When someone scores on you, somehow people think it counts as double. Tune out all the noise. Keep killing it on the court.

I’m a believer that you can win a lot of games with small guards. But your small guard has to be the toughest player on the court. Control the game. Have the highest basketball IQ. Be the coach on the floor. To All Small Guards: Most of the time scoring isn’t your priority.

Small guards are at a disadvantage. People will always question your size. It’s no secret. Coaches would rather have a guard that’s 6’3 than 5’11. Small guards - Do one thing exceptionally well on the court and make people believe in you. Do what your good at.
