Contraceptives, abortion, divorce, and the welfare state have effectively "freed" both men and women from their impetuses for lifelong commitments. Modern women effectively behave like gay men.
Why should all the responsibility of choosing quality partners and forcing commitment be placed on women? We need a society where men seek commitment just as much if not more than women. How can we achieve that?

If you are so keen to involve the state, stack that with making abortion punishable by death, outlaw all contraception products, and outlaw divorce. Married with 4+ children grants no income tax.
Yes. Men should have to pay extra taxes for being single after age 30. Those taxes can go towards financial incentives for married couples to have children. That solves birth rates. Boom. You’re welcome. The reason men specifically need to be taxed extra, especially above

Really surprised by the replies to this post. Apparently, lots of folks have an outright HOSTILE reaction to the idea of a non-hierarchical marriage. I don't think all those guys fantasizing about highly unequal marriages — with some even saying the husband should be the wife's
