Our work out today in @AnnalsofIM shows the importance of systematic follow up for patients with so-called “secondary” or “peri-operative” #AtrialFibrillation. 1 in 3 will have AF recurrence when assessed with 14 day Holter @McMasterU @PHRIresearch.
Patients with new-onset atrial fibrillation during hospitalization face a surprising 1 in 3 risk of AF recurrence within 1 year, according to a new study. Findings highlight importance of vigilant monitoring and care. #AtrialFibrillation #HeartHealth
