Token management done by Zed is nothing short of pure magic. Agent keeps writing millions of lines, yet my usage limit bar moves by only 1%. Their agentic mode should be the benchmark for the industry. Truly wonderful what they've done!.

Building an AI developer is like building an AI CAD designer. Both need to start as assistants— doing autocompletes, suggesting fillets, handling the grunt work. You can't jump straight to "design this engine" or "build this app.". We're equally far from both.

Just as it 'sees' UI with HTML, it must learn to see a part through API calls. Claude with custom dataset or a finetuned opensource model is the way forward. SolidWorks makes the perfect playground for this.

Most text-to-CAD pipelines do. Text → Stable Diffusion → Orthographic views → 3D model. It works to some extent. But feels backward. Model doesn't need to 'see' to understand.
