Bad enough forgetting her predecessor sold our rights to North Sea oil to the highest bidder. #bbclaurak

Why should you have to tell firm after firm that you’re vulnerable? Our new @mmhpi campaign is for a ‘tell us once’ service for those with mental (or physical) health conditions, to minimise stress in a crisis. Do watch and read more here https://t.co/v9nNSonaXx

I don’t think they’ve allowed a single point to land on #gmb this morning. They’re cutting off the pundits before they can finish their points EVERY SINGLE TIME 🙄

“Has anything changed that makes this meningitis outbreak more severe?” How about a major outbreak of a virus that damages peoples’ immune systems? #bbcbreakfast

Baroness Nicholson (@Baroness_Nichol), who was diagnosed as deaf aged 16, warns that without proper support, deaf patients may agree to things they do not fully understand when it comes to assisted suicide.

What the Leadbeater/Falconer bill would do to the NHS, according to senior figures:

It’s quite possible that 65% are a little/lot in favour of #assisteddying, so it’s quite something that the government messed up this private members bill so badly, removing essential protections and suggesting that poverty and NOT EVEN BEING TERMINALLY ILL are good reasons🙄#gmb

What happened to equiNOX? Isn’t it the same thing? Jean-Michel Jarre won’t be pleased if it’s been changed 😂#gmb

We’re beginning to understand how much Starmer must have resented the ‘ human rights ‘ bit of being a human rights lawyer .. he’s certainly making up for it now he’s in power .
The lawyers are right. Trial by jury is a fundamental right, which allows the public to have at least some say in the justice system. That check is a crucial one. More than 3,200 lawyers urge Starmer to rethink scrapping jury trials https://t.co/R3Da5tTWvl

David Lammy’s own Lammy Review found racial bias across the justice system. It also found no racial bias in jury verdicts. Yet his government now wants fewer jury trials. In Parliament, Geoffrey Cox confronted him: If juries guard against racism, why weaken them?

If you think the proposed curtailing of right to a jury is "helping victims" Sir Alan Bates would have had his fate decided by a Magistrate. He would have had no right to appeal. We would never have known of the Post Office scandal.

This! Imagine being falsely accused of something and losing your right to a jury trial.
Plenty of Labour MPs shrieking on and on about how their jury reforms are for “victims”. But what about the accused? Have they forgotten that innocent people are tried as well as guilty ones? The whole point of our system is justice, not vengeance.

Not going to take too much notice of what this guy says about justice when they had a three-line whip on forcing through the removal of the right to a jury trial just hours ago. #gmb
