Whether this bill is passed or not is not the point. The intent is dangerous- it allows the powers that be to frame any CM and shove them in prison for thirty days, remove them from power and perhaps even topple the govt. Sets a terrible precedence for the future.

Corruption permeates every layer of politics and governance in India. The problem is huge. But, the proposed new law that seems to equate arrest with conviction is wrong. It will create political uncertainty. Not end corruption.

Yes, #BJP's USP is to embrace all corrupt politicians from other parties and breed them.
@VinitaDeshmukh Majority of the corrupt opposition leaders have been white washed by BJP. Eg Maharashtras Politicians at one time BJP was screaming away corrupt corrupt from roof tops. How come they all joined BJP magic wand now not corrupt. To retain power BJP plays these games in all states.
