This is why its important to actually enforce anti-corruption laws against people who bribe Trump. Rule of law means rule of law, not endless impunity.
We are locked into a nasty cycle -- businessmen and the media endorse Republicans because it matters a lot whether they gin up an investigation to put you in jail or give you special favors. If Democrats win you just get rule of law either way.

I think the current children's online safety movement is, at best, dangerously misguided, but I think that banning phones in schools is probably a good idea. It's hard to focus when you're on a phone 24/7!.
The UK is banning access to Wikipedia right now under these “child safety” laws & we have 11 state bills and federal law that would do the same thing in the U.S. Meanwhile PragerU videos are being shown in the classroom. Please stop falling for this reactionary nonsense!.

I'm really excited for this but also extremely skeptical it won't completely suck at launch. When they let a bunch of community members play it recently, it seemed 1) extremely promising, and 2) just like, not finished. I was expecting early- to mid-2026.

Hard to overstate how underwhelming Marin County is compared to its median home price. These are not nice houses, and it's basically all suburbia.
This isn't really true outside of California and the most desirable parts of the northeast. The US median house price is $410,800. Which is still high, but far from "1 million dollars.". These are all the counties where the median house is >$1M.
