Back in 2015/16 @Airbnb was "host-obsessed". At the same time, Booking had no urban STR supply and started building a new team/product called "BookHome" - I had some job interviews with them. Airbnb built a supply that Booking is monetizing now.
i think about this chart a lot. it's a great reminder of what product design is about.
