Early morning dip in the Seine. Like Boston Harbor, water quality is so improved that the city is promoting swimming in 11 locations, providing lifeguards, lockers, showers, and seating. Riverfront has lots of public amenities for all to enjoy.

Good health news today: biopsy results showed benign/noncancerous lesion! Given family history, we always use sunscreen & have yearly skin checks. Celebrated the news with @flourbakerycafe's @EmbraceBOS breakfast bun & "swan soft serve boat" at @BostonParksDept's Boston Common.

I was invited to participate @bostonchamber's "Words of Wisdom", but in reality, I learn much from the young professionals' many good suggestions! Nice to see @anitayip @groverdaniels @choll12 and so many others as we also enjoyed food from Chinatown's Peach Farm restaurant.

Beautiful remembrances of Jack Connors during his funeral today by his son, John, and members of the clergy. Jack was one of a kind, but as was said by so many, Jack should be an example to others, and not be the last of his kind to help others.

Jack Connors: one of the kindest, most generous in our community. He helped realize Mayor Menino's dream of @CampHarborView for Boston youths; funded @BrighamWomens facility for women's health; & quietly helped so many pay their tuition and other bills. Rest in peace, Jack.

East Boston waterfront & greenway tour today for @barnardalumnae. Everyone impressed with views on the HarborWalk, free binoculars, interpretive signs, as well as @Massport's new climate-resilient Piers Park II. All got to see Hew Locke's "The Procession" @ICAinBOSTON Watershed.

Mayor Tom Menino had a vision of a camp for Boston youths, & in one of his last public events, joined Mayor @MartyJWalsh at @CampHarborView's 2014 "Beach Ball". Jack Connors was at the start 18 years ago, & 2024 "Beach Ball" raised $13.4+ million for year-round programs for kids.
