Baseball d. Maine West in 5 innings 5-4. Trevor Todd comes up huge going 2-2 with 2 RBI singles Ethan Zbylut stays hot going 2-3 at the plate and pitched 5IP/6H/3ER/4R/4BB/4SO Cougars improve to 10-20 overall and finish 6-9 in conference.

Baseball d. Maine West 3-2 Simeon Friedman had the big hit in the first inning getting a 2 RBI double. (1-3) Ethan Zbylut hit the go ahead double in the first (1-3) RBI Double Jake Levitan pitched and threw 6IP/2R/0ER/3BB/4SO Cougars improve to 9-19 and 5-8 in conference play.

VHVB d. Lake Forest Saturday morning then falls to Niles West 23-25 in the third set to finish 14th at the Northside Classic. Cougars now 7-22. Kim leads with 26 kills 20 digs on the weekend. Rodriquez 18 kills 13 blocks. Boehme 21 kills 11 blocks. Glassman 54 assists, 16 digs.

Cougars lose to a strong Wildcats team in their last home game of the season @VHHSath

Baseball falls to Mundelein 3-0.  Zach Gilfand threw the entire game for us, giving us a chance. His stat line was 6IP/4H/3ER/3BB/3SO Ryan Mick went 2-3 Ethan Zbylut went 1-2 with a BB Cougars fall to 8-19.

Fri. May 9: Cougars play their 4th match in a row and come away with a 7-0 win over Maine East. Singles matches were tight with solid wins at all 3 spots. Cougars compete in the Palatine Invite tomorrow. @VHHSAth

Baseball lost to Highland Park 9-0. Cougars had a total of 3 hits Ethan Zbylut 1-2, BB Connor Brockway 1-3 Nate Dugan 1-3 Cougars (8-18), take on Mundelein tomorrow at MHS. Cougars are 4-8 in conference play.

Lakes Community High School defeated Vernon Hills today in non-Conference play of boys lacrosse at LCHS by a final score of 10-6. Vernon Hills Stats Goals -  Tran, T. (3) , Stein, M. (2), Mitchell, R. Assists-  Katz, C. Saves- Melnik, E.(13)

The all senior lineup starts strong but can’t close the deal against the Demons. Great group of 8 guys and careers worth commemorating.
