In his work understanding the DMT experience he found most studies focus on content but these microphenomenological interview revealed structural features of their experience and trajectories - this allows for better correlation with EEG data which is not possible before.

Now speaking on microphenomenology - the goal here is to “induce a state of evocation of the experience so that the experience is relived” and to “minimize the occurrence of interpretation which may be confabulate to the recollection of the experience”.

Very informative talk on archiving and diversity in archives by Dr. Stephanie Schmitz. As an archivist for Psychoactive Research at Purdue University she tells us about the importance of underrepresented voices in the archives and the unique challenges in obtaining such materials

What a hard hitting slide. Maternal mortality for black women is at 41% compared to white women at 13%. Infant mortality for black babies at 10% compared to 4% for white babies. All numbers are too high IMO but a very signifcant difference here.
