Big thanks to @AJEnglish for devoting an edition of Inside Story to the crisis in Sudan. Coverage like this and in @NYTimes and other outlets is desperately needed to expose the violence and risk of famine in Sudan, as well as the bravery of the Sudanese people.

Deeply disturbed by Rapid Support Forces’ use of artillery against civilians in Wad al-Noura. General Hemedti should hold his commanders accountable and demand his forces cease using violence against civilians.

134 people killed in El Fasher since May 10 is 134 too many. According to @MSF , the last functioning hospital in North Darfur will run out of supplies in one week. The RSF must stop its attack on El Fasher, and all sides must commit to de-escalation and humanitarian access.

I drew so much wisdom from these discussions with Sudanese women and civil society leaders. Their message to the warring parties is simple and clear: end the conflict, allow unhindered humanitarian aid delivery, and let the Sudanese people control their own future.
