In March 2024, we celebrated the renewed Compacts of Free Association, which provided $6.5 billion over 20 years for improved economic stability and quality of life for the people of the freely associated states.

In 2021, historic drought along the Colorado River brought the 40 million people it serves to a near crisis. @POTUS’ Investing in America agenda helped @usbr work w/ states, Tribes & stakeholders to stabilize it, building a path to a sustainable future.

🐟 As the Endangered Species Act entered its 50th year, @Interior’s Restoration and Resilience Framework infused $2 billion from @POTUS’ Investing in America to address the climate and biodiversity crises for the benefit of plants, animals and humans.

🚒 Through @POTUS’ Investing in America agenda, @Interior’s @DOIWildlandFire is investing $1.5 billion to increase wildland fire resilience, including $245 million for strengthening the wildland firefighter workforce.

.@POTUS created 10 new National Park System sites to help @NatlParkService tell America’s complete history, including the Emmett Till and Mamie Till-Mobley National Monument in Illinois and Mississippi.

👷@POTUS’ Bipartisan Infrastructure Law provided $11.3 billion to address toxic abandoned mine lands, facilitated by @OSMRE, to address nearly all, helping communities eliminate dangerous conditions and create jobs.

🏞️ We have worked to recognize conservation as an essential component of public lands management, on equal footing with other multiple uses on America’s public lands.

☀️⚡ @BLMNational has promoted sustainable energy independence, unlocking access to critical minerals and permitting enough clean energy projects on public lands to power over 15 million homes.

We have begun to heal the relationship between the U.S. government and Indian Country – through unprecedented investments, long-overdue investigations, @POTUS’ historic apology, and giving Tribes their rightful seat at the table.

💨 ⚡ Offshore, @BSEEGov and @BOEM have advanced safe and clean energy projects, and 19 gigawatts of offshore wind will now power over 6 million American homes!!.

🔬 At @USGS, we’ve unleashed the science, so that the best available data can lead our policy on critical minerals, climate change, and more.

🍀 Through @NatlParkService and a revitalized Outdoor Recreation Legacy Partnership program, we have reduced barriers to the outdoors, improving public health, climate resilience, and community connections.

This term at @Interior, we have made unprecedented progress for our shared lands, waters, wildlife and the communities they sustain. Together, we have taken bold action to protect public lands, the environment and Americans’ lives and futures.

Today, @POTUS designated the Chuckwalla National Monument in southern California, which spans over 624,000 @BLMNational-managed acres of stunning mountains and canyons, important cultural resources, rich biodiversity and unique geological features.

This week, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Water and Science Michael Brain joined leaders from @ENERGY to announce a new partnership to help accelerate progress on key energy-water issues and foster greater interagency collaboration.

Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge, managed by @USFWS, is one of the world’s largest intact freshwater ecosystems. Today, @Interior announced that the refuge will be nominated to join the UNESCO World Heritage List.

💨 ⚡ NEWS: @Interior today approved the SouthCoast Wind Project. The Biden-Harris administration has now approved 11 commercial-scale offshore wind energy projects under @POTUS’ leadership – enough to power more than 6 million homes.
