My birthright deniers and @USConstAmend_II deniers employ a common strategy of sophistry. Both read part of the Constitution stating in plain English a policy they do not like. The honest response would be to admit disagreeing with the Constitution and advocate an amendment.

Child: Dad, can I have $75,000? I want to buy a bitcoin. Dad: $73,000!? Where am I going to get $70,000. Do you think I have $68,000 just lying around? You gotta work hard to make $65,000.

Let me reiterate this for you all. I'll speak a little louder for those in the back. Ahem... I DO NOT GRANT RIGHTS. I DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN GROUPS TO HAVE RIGHTS. I TELL THE GOVERNMENT THAT THEY DO NOT GET TO INFRINGE UPON ANYONE'S RIGHT TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS. THE RIGHT IS

I do not guarantee citizenship to the very few people who were born in the USA but not subject to its jurisdiction. They can, however, get green cards, which is kinda the same thing. https://t.co/xy4pv4RLgO

Instead, they ask for "jurisdiction" to mean one magic thing for citizenship clause purposes only - and go on meaning what it's always meant for everything else. In this sense they're actually worse than 2Am deniers.

Nor do my deniers ask jurisdiction be generally revised to their theory. None say Laken Riley's convicted killer, an illegal alien from Venezuela, should be freed from US prison whose jurisdiction he's supposedly not subject to (as we must with a diplomat, who really isn't).

Nor or is "jurisdiction" exactly a blank slate. Very few cases on citizenship clause, but too many to count on cases deciding who is or isn't subject to jurisdiction when, where, why and how. Not one exempting anyone from any jurisdiction because he or his parents were aliens.

Only common threads between their redefinitions of "subject to the jurisdiction thereof" are that they (1) never comport at all with how jurisdiction is applied anywhere else and (2) always conveniently exclude the people they don't like (and equally conveniently, no one else).

Some even butcher my author's own words to make it sound like he said the opposite of what he said, which was that aliens/foreigners who are family members of foreign dignitaries would not be citizens, but anyone else born here would be.

So they rationalize other theories like complete US allegiance (sorry Don Jr., Eric, Ivanka and Barron), two citizen parents (because why not) or only kids born to parents holding the specific visa type held by Wong Kim Ark's parents in 1873 (which conveniently no longer exists).

For my deniers, magic beans are jurisdiction. Don't want illegal alien having citizen kids so (wink wink) they must not be subject to jurisdiction. Some say no one else is but former slaves. Smarter ones know better than to say that, denying their own citizenship too.

For 2Am deniers, magic beans are militia clause. No one knows what well-regulated means, but Congress gets to disarm militia and it's right there next to that hated individual right, so the whole thing must just mean Congress can't disarm its own militia unless it wants to!

Instead, both rationalize our authors didn't really mean what they said, accuse proponents of not reading the whole amendment, and cite adjacent text they don't understand as the magic beans that should make the unwanted part they do understand, go away.

@USConstAmendXIV @deluracct @BK_McCallum @iamthedriving @SuitMooseEsq @SpudmanWP @BadLegalTakes Hey retard! Thanks for playing 😂 You’re deliberately misrepresenting the meaning of “subject to the jurisdiction thereof” to suit your own preferred outcome. Jurisdiction in the 14th Amendment did not simply mean being subject to U.S. laws in a generic sense—if it did, then
