VC pay is £363k, while cleaning staff are on £18,898. Anton Muscatelli is paid over 19 times the salary of a UofG cleaner, the same cleaners who were praised as ‘keyworkers’ during the pandemic.

Support staff at universities across Scotland have had a woefully sub-inflationary pay rise imposed upon them.
The Scottish Government should urge universities and the Universities and Colleges Employers Association to get back around the table. These workers are worth more.

Some absolutely incredible solidarity from students at University of Edinburgh this week. They try to turn students against striking staff, but we know they stand beside us! ✊
This is so powerful.
Students are finishing university with TBC instead of grades and staff are still receiving punitive salary deductions.
The bosses could have ended this dispute well before graduations.

managers asking members to tell them they are going on strike for "planning purposes" or "contingency".
You only need to tell the UofG you were on strike when you return the deductions form on the 5th of October.
The point of a strike is disruption.
