I thoroughly enjoyed I Remember Poetry prompt on the @moses_brian blog. I wrote a long #poem about a childhood holiday in Canada. #poetry #poetrycommunity

I was about to take the photo and this little robin appeared as if “I want to be in the photo too”. I do love robins very much but can’t get their photo very often. This little beauty made my photo very special and made my day too😍 Haddon Hall gardens, Peak District

Lucia Day is celebrated in Scandinavia, especially in Sweden, on the 13th of December. It is a festival of light that is named after the Sicilian St. Lucy, but the celebration of light during the darkest time of the year can be traced back to ancient Norse winter solstice

Today is Lucia Day, a celebration of light in the darkness that is the Scandinavian winter. The day is celebrated with processions that are led by a girl or a woman wearing a wreath of candles in her hair, singing the traditional Lucia song. 🎨 John Bauer (1913)

8 year old asked for a briefcase for Christmas 😅 While the new options were all pretty junky and expensive, was able to pick up an absolutely stunning leather vintage one on eBay for $40 bucks It’s like the most sumptuous leather I’ve ever felt 😅

A quiet English village on a perfect winter afternoon. Skaters on the frozen pond, children racing sledges down the slope, and the church lit by winter light beside a twinkling tree.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas as Megan, one of our Guides, puts the finishing touches to the tree. @VisitScotland

It seemed like almost everyone had a charm bracelet when I was growing up. I have my grandmother‘s now. Do you remember them?
