I have just written on a doc that students should approach digital tech with a critical mindset, meaning that ultimately they choose the best solution to a problem, rather than necessarily a digital one. The government, however, seem unable to do this.

One of the (many!) highlights of this weekend’s @railway200 events was Locomotion No. 1 arriving at Darlington station, supervised by an appropriately-attired @DavidHorne, and with signal T900 guarding the way ahead. Thanks to @TurnipRail for the picture! #SignalOfTheDay

This is all EXCELLENT. We have just witnessed Locomotion No.1.5 (I guess we’d call it) gently whoosh & breathe its way from @hopetowndarl into Darlington Bank Top station, where Locomotion No.1.0 was plinthed for decades. Pause, then make its way along the East Coast Main Line👏
