i think I've read this every single day of my life for the past 7 months.
I don't want to defend clap stomp hey music, its kitsch. But there was a certain honesty to it that quickly vanished in the layers of irony of the late 2010s. It was like a teenager's corny poem to their crush. People now don't sing about love in this immediate way anymore.
