I’m not saying get married but I was getting ready to leave the house and my husband was on a Teams call. He turned, paused and said to his colleague “sorry man, my wife is about to leave for work and she’s looking very nice” and then gestured to me to come for peck. I just 🥺💛

I hate that optimism is associated with inexperience or childishness. The idea that if you are optimistic - it’s because you haven’t seen what life is. You can see what life is and still be brave enough to know it could be more.

I can’t explain why this is important to me but date someone who takes your photo without you asking.

“Can I bring my baby to the interview?” The message came in at 11 PM: “Hi, I have an interview with you tomorrow at 2 PM. My childcare fell through. Can I bring my 8-month-old? I understand if you need to reschedule.” Old me would have rescheduled. Unprofessional. Distraction.

My dad stopped pursuing his education, with the little money he has saved, he started a business and sent his younger siblings to uni only for the two of them to get pregnant in their final year and never graduated. He stopped talking to them permanently.

Since I was 18 my stepdad refused to drink New Years Eve just in case me, my sister, or his son couldn'tget home and needed a lift. I'm 47 now and he's still "on call" tomorrow night - this time for his grandchildren. No one has ever called but he'll still wait up just in case 🥹

Marriage only benefits a woman when the man is truly capable of leading, providing, and protecting. Otherwise she’s just adding responsibilities to a life she already manages alone.

That’s exactly why ppl should listen to audiobooks. Literacy includes phonics. It’s important to hear words often so that we can recognize letter pairings. There are 5 pillars of literacy. Reading words is just one
My mom said I pronounce words wrong because I don’t read, baby that’s the only reason I know the word 😭😭 Maybe if I listened to audio books i could pronounce shit but then I’d like critical thinking skills like her and many others 😭
