How to tell when someone has never seen Regina Hall's acting in HONK FOR JESUS, SAVE YOUR SOUL, and MASTER two films directed by Black women where she gives excellent dramatic expressive performances. Even with her comedic roles, she puts layers of talent into her performances.
Paul Thomas Anderson does something incredible with Hall in “One Battle After Another”, an actor with one of the fastest mouths in Hollywood. He focuses on her eyes. Hall has these incredible expressive, emotive eyes and so many of Deandra’s moments are just her watching.
