A man walked up to me at the store and said he loved my hair, and wished more people would embrace their natural hair and I didn’t have the heart to tell him this is a wig so I just said “thank you 🙂”
Being perceived as “nice” is literally the worst ever.
I’ve watched people barrel through my boundaries, use every ounce of me they could, benefit off me, then get cartoon character-level mad when I’ve either had enough or start distancing myself 🤣
I think losing millions of dollars, having a scandal that you didn’t do tarnish your professional reputation, losing a friend and watching a family fall apart are pretty traumatic
the try guys describing their coworker cheating on his wife as their "trauma" is a great example of how the internet has taken important therapy language and bastardized it into silly little nothings
Hiiii I wrote a really weird afro-surreal/magical realism book that only a specific kind of person would like.
Help me find those people!
Here’s a thread of books, TV shows, and movies that, if you enjoyed, you’d prob like my book ✨💕
I made a little self publishing guide to answer all the questions I keep getting on live. It’s also free..because it’s mini and I just wanted a reason to make something cute lol
My favorite Twitter trend is these really stupid tweets that basically every hot girl on the website uses to quote retweet a picture of themselves in cosplay or something
I know it's popular to hate Twitter but I think this is great
I did it! If you like absurd, Afro-surreal fiction about a neurodivergent Black woman navigating adulthood by any magical means necessary? Download my book for FREE ✨
Please RT and help me spread the word!
To anyone with anxiety that keeps them up at night:
✨Your tone was just fine in that conversation - don’t dwell on it
✨ You did your best today
✨ You think so much because you care a lot and that’s ok, but don’t let it consume you
✨Everyone does strange things, it’s ok
FINALLY finished my magical realism/black comedy book about a bisexual neurodivergent Black woman navigating Corporate America “by any magical means necessary”
Look at this cover!!

The tea has been interesting, the memes have been funny, but we can’t tell people how to feel about their own lives.
I don’t want people to start dismissing the weight of traumatic experiences. If anything I rather the word be over-used than under!

Someone tried to make me feel insecure about my face. And I used to be. I only felt cute when I smiled. But I think my chubby cheeks and overbite give me character 😌
I will never not be in shock that I’m writing a Monster High comic 😭💀 and that I was flown to Abu Dhabi to talk about story telling
All from writing indie stories and making connections while being my weird woeful awkward self ✨
I love cute Black women. The cottage-core girls. The ones drenched in pink w/ golden vanity mirrors and fluffy dogs. The girls who emotionally connected to PPG & Totally Spies. Girls who wanna do aesthetically pleasing things with you. Who love sleepovers. You make me happy. 🫶🏾
Idk much about much…but demonizing African deities and mythology and spiritual practices sounds like doing the work of the oppressor for them. Gleefully, and for free. But idk.
Summer Walker is open about her Oshun worship. Be careful what you’re listen to, a lot of your favorite artist worship Idols “Demons”. This is the same reason why our people are in the condition we’re in now. Our people must repent before it’s too late.

- although today is the day, I’m rescheduling all bday activities for mid-December 😆
Making a thread of Afro-surreal books, movies, and TV shows because the genre doesn’t get enough love and Black people deserve to tell weird, surreal, absurdist stories too!
First, my book “How to Be a Better Adult” — Amelia Bedelia meets “Sorry to Bother You”
