the two week vacation test. i think about it all the time. the idea’s pretty simple:.schedule a two week vacation.no calls, no slack, no “just checking in”. then see what breaks. you realize you’ve been the one filling the gaps. you are the bottleneck. answering the questions.

21 design things that quietly improve your product . 1. search boxes that forgive typos. 2. empty states shouldn’t feel empty. 3. label buttons with verbs, not nouns. 4. confirmation messages should feel like relief. 5. onboarding is never really finished. 6. your colors.

Everyone thinks great design is about delighting users. Animations, colors, cool interactions. But what users actually crave isn’t more stuff. They just want fewer roadblocks. Instead of adding that fancy animation, ask yourself: "What can I remove to make this simpler?".

But every landing page doesn't need to be great. It just needs to convert. So we looked at what makes the best ones convert well. Spoiler alert . it's usually small things that make a huuuuge difference.
