What do they got? A big team, lots of money, a strong brand, seemingly unlimited resources, panache, reputation, all that. They’re established. They’re your competitors. You want to look away, but you see them everywhere. Their ads on your social, their name in the media, your

Whenever I see programmer salary numbers from Europe, I always have to do a double take. It's hard to fathom that we work in the same industry. With bonuses this year, many of our folks are at $400,000+, and we're not even in any AI-hype sector.

Kudos to @jasonfried, @dhh & the team! Been using Fizzy since launch. No onboarding circus, no AI glitter, no BS. It’s Simple. Minimal. Fast and it just f*king gets out of your way so you can do the work. More products should feel like this.

We walk around every day passing by thousands of objects, digital and physical, accepting them as they are. Why? Because they've always been that way. Is that cup handle supposed to be shaped like that? What does that strange icon on my dashboard really mean? Why do all these

Coming up with all kinds of fun things to use Fizzy for right now. I forgot the simple pleasure of a good kanban board and Fizzy has some great ideas and is genuinely a joy to use. Current usage: Christmas gift planning 🎄🎅 @jasonfried

I'm finding myself more and more excited about liking stuff I didn't think I'd like. Rather than recoiling, I release. Don't close, open. Like initially I wasn't into this watch. "Not my thing" was the recoil. And now... The more I look at it and read about it, the more I'm

Deleting a board in Fizzy also deletes all of the cards on that board. This explicitly states that to the user in the confirmation message/warning.

Rob is really killing it with these breakdowns. Even though I'm on inside, I'm enjoying and learning.

Totally blown away by the design wizardry behind #Fizzy. Not just gorgeous — it pulls you in and makes you want to use it. Absolute magic. https://t.co/akiaB9mfrN

The products from @37signals are so unique, - It doesn’t chase design trends, - It doesn’t use Google sign‑in, - Its style is so different, you can recognize it as theirs at a glance. A whole next level.
Fizzy is live! Our modern, beautiful spin on kanban for tracking just about anything. Nothing revolutionary, but just right, just nice. And we're launching our freemium SaaS version alongside an O'Saasy-licensed codebase for you to run it yourself too! https://t.co/AfDsofwNQ8

Less software.
I dug a bit into the #FIZZY code and I’m surprised. They use basically a vanilla Rails gem set without any of the libraries considered "standard" these days like Devise, ViewComponent, Phlex, RSpec, etc... Nothing fancy, zero bloat. I thought I was a purist at Tribely, but

People have been asking what happens to ONCE now that Fizzy is both SaaS and Open Source? Are we going to make any more ONCE products? First some quick background. In September of 2023 we announced ONCE. ONCE was the reintroduction of an old idea. Rather than subscribe to

Make it like you make it, not like they make it. There's an epidemic of sameness in the business software world that's unbecoming of all the creative people in this field. Break the same!
