My Dad left when i was 2. My mom went without making sure i was playing the game i loved, had cleats and a glove, and bought Gatorade for my teammates and I. We grew up poor. But my mom made it happen. She made us feel big League. Love you mom.

2017 devoted my life to baseball. In 3 years I’ve worked in two facilities and a D1. Packed my life into a car 4 times. Put thousands of miles on the car. No guaranteed money anywhere. Belief and grit turned that long shot into where I’m at now. Have to bet on yourself always!.

MLB swings are much more direct than High School swings. Attack Angle: 5-12 degrees vs 15-20 degrees. Probably happens 95% of the time. My BEST High School player is consistently a little too down (0-4 positive). Those who struggle are at 15+ (uphill). Rarely see downhill paths

Bat speed matters, kids. Hitting balls hard on a line will always have the highest success rates. Training this is as simple as having objective feedback about how your bat is moving from @Blast_Bsbl . Does your bat move fast? Slightly upward?

It was back to work yesterday at Ohio. Some machine scrimmage action. These guys are entering the last 2 weeks of fall ball practice. We’ve worked extremely hard to get our swings right, but there is always more to do. Never forget the process it takes to be the best.

The analytical people in baseball just don’t have any feel for the game. Some do…but they are few and far between. The opinion of a coach who has been around the game for 30 plus years should outweigh a young man who observes talent behind a computer screen.

Putting aside the fact that this kid is just a stud, the intent in this swing is elite level shit. At the end of the day you are limited by your athletic talent. But intent can be learned, taught, and mastered.
Uncommitted gap year trainee @Ian_Mc2 hit this ball 101 mph at a 31 launch angle against an 80 mph breaking ball. 3 years of eligibility. His peak EV is 106.9.

If you’re not using the #RebelsRack to better develop your hitters you’re truly missing out. We’ve seen jumps daily and our guys don’t go a day without them. This “gimmick” will be a staple for us this season. Don’t be surprised to see a rack in the on deck circle this spring.
