update: So far the team has shifted over 50 tonnes of mud and potatoes...yes potatoes.
It's taking a little longer due to the sheer amount of debris - aiming to open 3-4pm - we'll keep you posted. The team is working hard to ensure no chips on drivers' windscreens ;)

❗❗Update: Following two recent mudslides on the A358 at Combe Florey in a matter of weeks which closed the road, Somerset County Council is working with the tenant farmer and landowner concerned to find a solution before the winter.

Our team have completed the work 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗿 days early - superb work.
This will allow tomorrow's adjacent wedding to proceed unhindered and for The Farmers Arms to open as planned on Wednesday.
🌄Have you ever come across Burrow Mump? The historic site is located just off the A361 between Glastonbury and Taunton.

❗❗ The A358 remains closed near Combe Florey following a mud slide yesterday evening.
A decision was taken after an inspection to close the road overnight as it was not safe attempt a clear-up operation until the morning. We hope to reopen by lunchtime - we'll keep you posted.
