We’re very proud too! And we won’t stop there - signage at Greenwich DLR isn’t up to the job for our “world-famous” UNESCO World Heritage site 🗣️ 📣@Royal_Greenwich👇. TfL has had plenty of time to plan for this. How ‘closely’ exactly, are they working with Greenwich?
Just heard announcement loud and clear at Canary Wharf station saying Cutty Sark DLR will close until next spring to replace all four escalators. So proud to have led a community campaign with incredible people! #PeoplePower #CommunityDriven #CommunityEngagement @EscalateCSDLR

Don’t take @Royal_Greenwich word for it. The lift has been out of action since 28 May NOT 30 June. We were told they were waiting on a quote for a component. Is the lift operator pulling the wool over our eyes?? @LiftPrecision is a multi national company so why the lack of

Thank you to @Se_Railway for the clear directional signage. When will @TfL & @Royal_Greenwich get their act together (no clear signage at both exits from Greenwich DLR). They knew Cutty Sark DLR was going to close. Why so long? .

Escalate Now! campaigners offered to help, given our LOCAL knowledge with signage between Greenwich DLR and Greenwich Town Centre back in early May - before Cutty Sark shut - but we were ignored by @TfL . Now we see, two months on from the closure of CSG DLR, that Greenwich

We certainly need better data here at @Royal_Greenwich . The ‘live-tracking’ system to indicate whether foot tunnel lifts are working, or not, is abysmal & not in sync with googlemaps. API needs revising ASAP & @TfL knows this. Locals are resorting to hand written signage or

According to @London_Cycling Greenwich Foot tunnel ranks as one of the top river crossings but the lifts are unreliable. Online status updates are not……updated regularly. The councils responsible for maintenance must come clean & tell us what’s going on. @willnorman @SebDance.
🚶 Back on dry land and this time it was time to get walking, as we graced the good old Greenwich Foot Tunnel.

It’s been *two months* since @TfL made this statement about the API. Meanwhile, users have to rely on your updates (we saw your poster in Tower Hamlets - thanks!) or for someone to physically put out the yellow sign ! @LiftPrecision aren’t fulfilling the terms of their contract
In the meantime, I will keep informing you all that the north lift is out of service! . @Calum_OBM @Royal_Greenwich.

That ‘the lifts continue to be maintained’ is a myth. There’s a £12m contract with @LiftPrecision to maintain over 300 lifts in Greenwich including *fortnightly* maintenance of the foot tunnels. Since their visit last Monday, operators haven’t returned! Rags & a pot of grease lie.
Several people have been checking the status. Commuters, parents with prams, shoppers to Greenwich and many more. We don’t know what’s going on & judging by the answer to my question, neither does the Council. The officer who answered this question should’ve checked first.
