Great work by Andreas and everyone sharing updates for the Greenwich lifts website, but we shouldn't have to crowdsource access info because it isn't available any other way! In the end, the fix is simple. Lifts that work every day and for everyone who needs them.

A very attractive place indeed that will most likely attract visitors from far and wide including from North Woolwich across the Thames. Important to ensure the Woolwich Foot tunnel is fully accessible (north lift has been out of action for *three* years). @TransportForAll
With Woolwich Waves soon to open, we have an update on the Waterfront Leisure Centre. Subject to Cabinet approval, it's recommended that the Waterfront building is demolished when it becomes vacant. Steps will then be taken to repurpose the site for sale. https://t.co/1AHemQIuCS

It would be good to see serious discussion around improvement for businesses who use cargo bikes here in Greenwich. Itâs impossible for them to make cross-river deliveries because the foot tunnel lifts are completely unreliable. @MayorofLondon @SebDance @EllyBakerAM @TfL

If @MayorofLondon is serious about improvement for active travel then he must provide the infrastructure. Local businesses are keen to deliver goods by cargo bike but how can they when the infrastructure doesnât exist east of Tower Bridge? @London_Cycling @LondonAssembly

@EscalateCSDLR @orncgreenwich @VisitGreenwich As mentioned in the article, the Greater London Council and the London County Council were previously responsible for the foot tunnels. One way to restore this as a London-wide responsibility (TfL/GLA) would be for the government and Parliament to consider amending the law.
