I think there is a lot to learn from the examples of others, especially anyone who’s been through physical or mental adversity. The first sense you lose if you’re struggling to cope is your sense of humour. That can be a good clue that someone you know is having a tough time.

Today is #WhiteCaneAwarenessDay. It's safe to say that I've had a love/hate relationship with my cane but I'm now so much more confident when using it and it's given me a lot more independence. It can be hard but I've learned to embrace it and I'm not ashamed of using it anymore.
