I am a victim of long-term abuse & I have PTSD. I am still working on setting boundaries & knowing how much power I have within friendships & other relationships. It's hard to relearn this stuff after being submissive and afraid for so long. Sorry if I seem weak. Still healing.

Heck yeah...especially these days. I have learned how important it is to find out a person's beliefs and values. Some of my friends turned out to have atrocious racist and classist viewpoints and I never knew before. It's important to have those conversations and remove toxicity.

I don't drink soda, but PepsiCo also makes Brisk tea (gosh dang it!) and Frito-lay products....Cheetos and Doritos. So no more tea for me and my kids will have to have some other type of chips. Sorry, Pepsi, but female reproductive rights are important to me.

No, not at all. I am 50 and in college. I love it!! Even after I finish my degrees, I plan to remain a student, taking courses here and there, or community ed courses, too. Learning is part of my personal growth journey. We are never too old for college or learning. ๐๐๐

This happens in California, too, unfortunately. Maybe less after the ACA, but I know people who have gone to Mexico for weight-loss surgery, cancer treatment, dental care, medicines, and plastic surgery because they couldn't afford it here.

It's not a dumb question. It's interesting and deserves more research. I personally wear glasses when I am out around people, too, which is not often. But it can spread through contact with ocular mucosa, too, which is why some masked people might still get it.

My ex abused me, he belittled me. He told me I am too ugly for selfies & sharing them shows that I am begging for attention. It's taken a lot for me to get to the point where I love myself again. If I share a selfie, it's me sharing a moment with you. Is that okay? Is it healthy?

Same. I think I stopped wearing my mask outside for a few days in May 2021 maybe? After I was fully vaccinated and my kids were, too. There was a short lull between variants and surges. But I have worn a mask consistently inside since 3/14/20 as well. I don't mind masking at all.

NTA. Moving continents is a huge change and people with autism often don't deal well with changes, even small ones. Since she is self-harming and obviously in distress, I recommend finding a therapist to talk to, ASAP. Couples therapy could be good, too. Too much pressure on her.

Omg, I would be furious if someone told me that. My youngest has autism. He was verbal, then went nonverbal for about 18 months. He went through ABA therapy and became verbal again. No one should ever suggest hitting them. How disgusting. ๐ ๐ ๐
