One person on Bluesky called Adobe customer support about this and they said Adobe Animate is being discontinued because “the company can't think of any new features to add to the program and they feel it's gotten stale.” Their course of action? Killing it.
Adobe Animate will be discontinued on March 1. The program was used to animate Teen Titans Go!, Smiling Friends, My Little Pony, El Tigre and many more.
