I think it's important to note that Owl House would NOT be what it is if made at another studio. I was pitching this in 2016, I was a first time showrunner, most studios were looking for 11-min comedies and DTV was the only place that allowed me to have 22-minute episodes. (1/4)

Could I have made Owl House at another studio? MAYBE but I would have had a tighter budget, a different team, shorter episode lengths, etc etc so I think about all that and I think about all the amazing talent I worked with and I'm just happy this was made at all haha. (3/4)

I did a small bit of dev sketches for this. The little I read was beautiful and cathartic *especially* considering we were deep in lockdown at the time. Can't wait to see it finally come to life.
