I looked up the Disney Animated Canon films released since 2000, and I could only really find 3 that lack those two elements: Dinosaur, Home on the Range, and Bolt. I was thinking Winnie the Pooh counted, but that’s iffy due to the characters interacting with storybook text.

It only hit me after Hexed’s reveal that Zootopia is one of Disney Animation’s most unique films this century. Unlike the others, it doesn’t feature any magic or sci-fi elements that would be impossible in reality. It’s a very grounded world and story, and I appreciate that.

Hot take: Despite liking both, I prefer Sausage Party. It had a more interesting theme/world, and it held the dirtiest stuff until the end to leave a bigger impact. Fixed does have a better style, some better emotional bits, and actually takes time until the R-rating kicks in.

I’ll say Toy Story 2 is the most debatable on whether “Utility Belt Buzz” was evil. Despite fighting Andy’s Buzz when they met, he chose to help the toys under the belief that they were looking for Zurg. 3 however framed “Demo Mode Buzz” as evil since he worked with Lotso.

I’m expecting Ice Age Boiling Point to have been animated by DNEG given their association with 20th Century Studios animated films like Ron’s Gone Wrong and Nimona (a film started at Blue Sky but finished at DNEG for Netflix). If it’s not, then probably Reel FX?.

In all honesty, I think Cat in the Hat would be more likely to hurt Disney’s Hexed as Disney’s original animated films aren’t guaranteed hits nowadays (look at Strange World and Wish).

I called it that Disney was gonna move Ice Age 6 to sometime in 2027. Even if Shrek 5 had already moved, December still has Avengers and Jumanji. Plus, it’s around Ice Age’s 25th anniversary. Wasn’t expecting them to return to the dino world again. Does this mean no humans?.
