Tim Neiman, longtime coach at DeSales U, has been selected to receive the “Career Recognition Award” by the Mid Atlantic Scouts Association. Tim recently retired after 36 years at the helm . He won over 800 games in that time and is a 13 time Coach of the Year @DSU_Baseball.

A lot of college coaches are cycling back to wanting pitchers that can actually pitch in games, and get hitters out. They're learning that plus velocity with dog shit command, doesn't win games.

Saylorsburg resident and former #Phillies pitcher Jeff Bittiger passed away on Saturday. He spent more than two decades as a baseball scout in the Athletics organization.

TEAM KILLERS. Tim Neiman learned a lot during 1,401 games (868-528-5) as @DSU_Baseball coach. He knew what winning teams were all about (10 conference titles). But he also learned what ruins teams. The latter is what his book Team Killers is all about.

A very broken system.
We've now surpassed the 2024 portal (5,090) with 5,124 portal players. Feels like 6,000 is in sight. - 25 teams already have more than 20 players in the portal.- 173 teams have 10 or more.- 151 teams have 0 players in the portal.

PLAYING IN GRANDPOP’S BACKYARD . That’s what @NDGP_Athletics sophomore Jason Frederick was doing when his team played its D11 3A game at @DSU_Baseball. His grandfather is retiring Bulldogs coaching legend Tim Neiman and Frederick had a big hit in his team’s rally.
