i dont think sports gambling, at face value, is a bad thing. i do think the way it rolled out in the u.s. — basically a loopholed legal gambling forcing the country's hand and then an immediate, move-fast-break-things-tech-industry-nonsense gold rush — has proven to be really bad
Federal prosecutors are investigating whether Terry Rozier manipulated his performance as part of an illegal sports betting scheme, per @WSJSports. The ring accused of conspiring with Jontay Porter also bet heavily against Rozier in a 2023 game for the hornets.
